Life With Dolapo

It’s 5pm already  And My bank account  is almost as empty  as my stomach and colon  In fact I emptied my bowels  At around 6pm yesterday  So you see, I feel as empty as empty feels With just N65.40k spare. Just as in the time of Joseph the dreamer  I had experienced a period of abundance Gleaning from his story, I made an effort to fill my stores like he did for Egypt  In preparation of the days of lack and scarcity  Those days of much stretched far and long  Like I’d never see days without plenty again But indeed, those other days came Days of wants and scarcity  Days of needs and nothingness. I sought refuge in my stores.  Out of those stores  My needs were met  Over and over again  And just before I ran out  A period of surplus smiled upon me  Again  So I refilled  This was the pattern  But in recent times  I’ve seen more days of scarcity  And fewer days of abundance  I find myself hanging on tightly to the next pay day  I look forward to another raise like life wouldn’t be better w

  If only you believe   I’ll give you a life here on earth  Better than you could’ve planned  And a promise of life eternal  (Evidenced with an irretractable seal) For when you eventually sleep from the troubles o f your fallen world.  This was His promise  A promise delivered over 2000yrs ago  That has carried for ages But How can I believe? How can I believe what I’ve not seen  How can I trust the integrity of this promise  That may have been subjected to the wears and tears of time  I can’t help but wonder  This seems too good to be true Beloved  Regardless of what you think now  I’ll keep saying it  I’ll put it as burdens, longings in the heart of my children (those who believe) To keep telling you and everyone.
